By providing your phone number on Hard Hat Hippo, you agree to receive text messages from us. Here's exactly what that means.
What Messages You'll Receive
Workers
- New job alerts matching your trade and location
- Notifications when an employer views your application
- Messages from employers about your applications
- Profile reminders (if your profile is incomplete)
Employers
- New applicant alerts with candidate details
- Job performance updates (views, matches)
- Trial and billing reminders
- Messages from applicants
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity. Workers with active profiles may receive 1–5 messages per week. Employers may receive more during active hiring periods. We never send more than 1 message per hour to the same number.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. Hard Hat Hippo does not charge for SMS — standard carrier rates apply.
Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all Hard Hat Hippo texts. You'll receive a confirmation message. To resubscribe, reply START.
You can also manage notification preferences in your dashboard settings.
Quiet Hours
We do not send text messages before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM Eastern Time.

Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Messages may be delayed or undelivered due to carrier issues beyond our control.
Privacy
Phone numbers are used only for platform communication. We do not sell phone numbers or use them for marketing outside of Hard Hat Hippo. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
